Too Darn Hot.

Fall Fashion Week 2008

(I should point out that Booboo is sporting the one-shouldered look, her own creation.  We believe hers is a really fresh young viewpoint that the fashion world would be wise to pay attention to...)

Well, leave it to Philadelphia to keep you guessing...after some lovely cool refreshing fall-like days, today was a humid monstrosity, and put everyone in a testy mood.  Except perhaps,
Booboo Herself, who was quite content to spend the majority of her day on the (relatively) cool tile floor in the kitchen playing with ice water and splashing.  Saturday was her 11 month mark.  We've all begun to talk about birthday plans, hopefully we'll have a nice crisp fall by then.

She has started to get herself to a sitting position after lying on her belly, although she is often half a foot away from whatever she was headed for, once she sits herself up!  Still, it has given her much more autonomy, even this small (big) thing.  She has also (finally) started feeding herself with her own fingers, and is now not as interested in food that is offered her on a spoon, rather, she'd like to do it herself, thank you very much.  Which, as you can figure, makes for some pretty messy meals.  Thank god for bibs with pockets!  I get it now.

Cape May.

On our way home, we took the ferry from Delaware to Cape May, New Jersey.  Cape May is known as the best of the Jersey Shore, cute little victorian houses, lovely beaches.  Honestly, I liked the openness of Rehoboth a bit better, but it was fun to get one last look at the beach before heading back to Philly.

Sweet n' lovely Cape May

Vacation!

This week we had our windows replaced, and while Mr. Tea was stuck at home with the window guys, Gma Lala, Booboo and I decided to make our escape to the Beach!  It was Gma Lala's first time to see the Atlantic, and Booboo's first toes in the ocean.  We had a lovely time, and felt relaxed when we got back.  And the windows look fabulous!

We're thinking of you, Daddy!
