Well. No one ever said East coast weather was boring!! Now that the snow is finally gone, we seem to be in the middle of a giant nor'easter. This is day 2 now. Yaya's friend B is visiting from Seattle, and is amazed at just how dramatic it is. The wind is whipping through the trees, and even a minute outside means a complete drenching. Yaya said when they went past Wissahickon creek, she's never seen it so high, and it looked like it could even flood. (Yipes!) Plus, dear old house that we are in, has been showing it's age with little drips (and bigger drips) into the kitchen. (Yipes, again.) Hopefully, the rain won't last much longer, and Mr. Tea will be able to get on the roof and make some repairs. (Thank god for Mr. Tea!)
So, as a result, we've mostly been playing inside, doing this sort of thing:
But Booboo and I had a bit of cabin fever this afternoon, and she was really hoping to collect some water in her buckets, so we took a few minutes on the porch today. Luckily our porch is halfway covered, so you can remain mostly dry, while still getting to enjoy some splashes.
